Welcome
to Realm of the White Wolf!!!!!
This poem is the one that started my writing poetry. So it continues with great zeal and spiritual committment for the Native Americans
Here you will find two versions of this poem, the shorter one is the one most used when submitting to poetry contests
Spiritwalker
I walk in times long since past
Among legends and ancient ones
I see through their eyes
The slaughter of my people
I hear the chants of war and peace
Echoed by my warriors
I feel their hearts crushed by anquish and betrayal
My proud nation
I hear the pounding of hooves across the plains
As the past haunts the present demanding justice
~I am Sorrow~
My people live in the rocks, trees, mountains and streams
Their voice is the cry of the hawk
And the whisper of the wind through the grass
Their spirit lives in the earth
I feel their presence
I open myself to hear their call
For the Earth and I are One
~I am Hope~
Prayers to Sun, Moon, Stars and Mother Earth
I reach out and summon all living creatures to lend me their powers
Strength of the Grizzly-vicious warrior
Might of the Horse-unearthly power
Craftiness of the Coyote-trickster
Endurance of the Buffalo-survival
Watchfulness of the Cougar-animal spirit
Wisdom of the Wolf-spirit guide, teacher
Insight of the Raven-sage, shaman
Wings of the Hawk-wind dancer
Eye of the Eagle-seeker of true self
I am the Spiritwalker, the Stalking Wolf
I will haunt the ravagers of my people
And fill the moonlit nights with my War cry
~I am Spirit~

Please take the wolf and
send her on her way around
the world to continue
her walk
in the name of the plight
of the animals who cannot
speak
for themselves yet continue
to die at the hands of
humans.
A Lakota Prayer
Great Spirit, you are
everything
And yet above everything
You are first and always
have been
Through you our children
will have strong hearts
And they will walk the
straight path in a sacred
manner
Help me to walk the sacred
path of life
Without difficulty
With my mind and heart
continually fixed on you!
Amen
