On the wings of my guardian
Do I walk down dark lit alleys
In search of my future
He sees without looking
I look but do not see
He glides high above the clouds
Soaring on the breath of the wind
Watching over me
To make sure I will not fall
To keep me safe from the ills of this mortal world
But he cannot heal a wounded heart
Though he may try
In human form only can that be given
But none be found
Within the realm of this world
On his back do we breech the barriers of time and space
To seek out the mortal from which that may come
'Tis no easy task
But he is ever present by my side
Am I the last of my breed?
Never to feel love, or give it completely?
Will I die alone?
On his wings do we travel
For he is strong enough to carry me
To guide me until a mortal can
He is watchful, protector, wind dancer
~He is Hawk~
Please take the wolf and
send her on her way around
the world to continue
her walk
in the name of the plight
of the animals who cannot
speak
for themselves yet continue
to die at the hands of
humans.
A Lakota Prayer
Great Spirit, you are
everything
And yet above everything
You are first and always
have been
Through you our children
will have strong hearts
And they will walk the
straight path in a sacred
manner
Help me to walk the sacred
path of life
Without difficulty
With my mind and heart
continually fixed on you!
Amen
