Welcome
to Realm of the White Wolf!!!!!
~She Now Resides On the
Wings of Angels~
Welcome
to this page, saddness
fills my heart as I make
this page,
I have lost a dear friend.
Tuesday, November 18th,
2008, my dear friend,
Dorie Barnes,
lost her battle with cancer
which had filled her lungs
and liver but had started
with her breast.
She had fought that battle
and appeared to have won,
but it came back with
a vengence.
She is now at peace, at
Home with her family,
with God, without pain
or suffering.
Doris Ann "Dorie" Barnes,
57, of Jacksonville, Fla
formerly of Greenville,
Pa died peacefully Nov.
18, 2008 at St. Lukes's
Hospital Jacksonville.
She was born Jan. 17,
1951 in Greenville, Pa
to John W. and Delia (Bobby)
Barnes.
She was a 1969 graduate
of Greenville Senior High
School and also attended
New Castle Business College.
She enjoyed spending time
writing poems, short stories,
visiting and talking to
close and treasured friends
and caring for her family.
She is survived by two
sons, John Goodpastor
and his wife, Sommer of
Middleburg, Fla
, and Shawn Goodpastor
of Jacksonville, Fla.,
and a grandson.
She was preceded in death
by her parents and her
brother William "Billy"
Barnes.
She will be missed by
her close friends and
her friends at the Cancer
Center
who looked forward to
a friendly word from her
on a daily basis.
This dove is the dove
of Peace, she has been
around the world so please
pass her on and
help her on her way again.
Take her for Dorie and
pass her on to others
in Dorie's name.
Dorie had a favorite Psalm
she always read throughout
her ordeal,
she told me and many people
about it and since my
ordeal with CKD has begun
and
maybe even before that,
I have started reading
that Psalm.
Our friend Jean Wasser
also has begun reading
that Psalm.
Psalm 91
He who dwells in the shelter
of the Most High
will rest in the shadow
of the Almighty
I will say of the Lord,
"He is my refuge
and my fortress, my God,
in whom I trust."
Surely he will save you
from the fowler's snare
and from the deadly pestilence
He will cover you with
his feathers,
and under his wings you
find refuge:
his faithfulness will
be your shield and rampart
You will not fear the
terror of night
nor the arrow that flies
by day
nor the pestilence that
stalks in the darkness
nor the plague that destroys
at midday
A thousand may fall at
your side,
ten thousand at your right
hand,
but it will not come near
you
You will only observe
with your eyes
and see the punishment
of the wicked
If you make the Most High
your dwelling-
even the Lord, who is
my refuge-
then no harm will befall
you
no disaster will come
near your tent
For he will command his
angels concerning you
to guard you in all your
ways
they will lift you up
in their hands
so that you will not strike
your foot against a stone
You will tread upon the
lion and cobra
you will trample the great
lion and the serpent
"Because he loves me,"
says the Lord,
"I will rescue him; I
will protect him,
for he acknowledges my
name.
He will call upon me,
and I will answer him.
I will be with him in
trouble.
I will deliver him and
honor him.
With long life will I
satisfy him
and show him my salvation."
Lessons of Courage
Of the lessons I've learned
from those big or small
The lesson of courage
is the best of all
To take what life gives
them in moments of years,
And share their love with
those they hold dear
And when their trials
are over and through
They move to another plain
with even more work to
do
Their work is a blessing
to you and to me
To watch over us and keep
us as safe as can be
So when you see a rain
drop filled with sun
Just remember those of
courage and the battles
they have won
This poem was written,
published and copyrighted
by Dorie, way to go girl.
You will be missed my
friend. God is getting
an angel
The heart is wounded with
your passing
A hole is formed
Tears cloud my vision
As I look to the sky
I see clouds passing by
I smile.
I can see you smiling
back
I know what you are saying
You are saying,"Spirit,
do you hear me?"
"Yes, my friend, I do
hear you, but I miss you."
You were there when I
needed to talk
You saw me through the
6 months preceding Joe's
death
You listened when no one
else did
Late into the night
I cried on your shoulder
Between the two of us
You got me safely through
We had a connection that
was strong
It was unique
It was understood
Without words
It pained me when you
got ill
It was like a death blow
I tried to hold onto you
But I knew even before
you did
That God was calling you
home
We talked about that.
We talked about so much
You and I.
You brought so much into
my life
We were quite a pair
The good times we had
will be remembered
It will never be the same
You rejoiced when I found
a new love
You told me I needed to
be happy
At least you got to meet
Jim
And you knew I was in
good hands
But you are safe now
You are HOME
You are in a place where
there is peace
You are not suffering
You are with God
How glorious
To be
On the Wings of Angels
You will be Always Remembered
and Loved
Home At Last
Oh Master, walk with me
today
In hope that I will find
my way
When torments of this
world close in
My saddened soul is weak
with sin
Dear Master, take my hand
in Thine
And let my will to Thee
consign
In joyous rapture I will
sing
My gratitude to Christ
the King
For in this world of gloom
and woe
In wisdom, faith and trust
we grow
Then by our side You shall
remain
To lead us on through
joy and pain
Then someday when my life
is through
In Paradise I'll be with
You
And all who've loved You
in the past
Will share Your heavenly
home at last.

Please take the wolf and
send her on her way around
the world to continue
her walk
in the name of the plight
of the animals who cannot
speak
for themselves yet continue
to die at the hands of
humans.
A Lakota Prayer
Great Spirit, you are
everything
And yet above everything
You are first and always
have been
Through you our children
will have strong hearts
And they will walk the
straight path in a sacred
manner
Help me to walk the sacred
path of life
Without difficulty
With my mind and heart
continually fixed on you!
Amen
